  CV and Research Projects

I obtained my M.A. degree in European Languages and Literatures from Beijing Foreign Studies University. At present, I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Linguistic and Literary Studies at the University of Padova. I am interested in L2 pronunciation acquisition and instruction.

My research project focuses on the acquisition of L2 Italian sounds by L1 Mandarin Chinese learners. Specifically, I’m looking at the way in which Chinese learners perceive and produce voiced vs. voiceless stop consonants, singleton vs. geminate consonants, and lateral vs. rhotic consonants in L2 Italian.
