  CURRICULUM VITAE AND RESEARCH INTERESTS

In 1995 she obtained a degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures from the University of Padua with a dissertation on Old Russian literature, entitled Letteratura e storia nella “Povest’ o Drakule” [Literature and History in the “Povest’ o Drakule”] (Supervisor: Prof. Danilo Cavaion).
In 2003 she completed an M.A. programme in Cross-cultural Studies at the University of Padua.
In 2010 she achieved a Ph.D. in Linguistic, Philological and Literary Sciences (Slavistics) at the University of Padua, with a dissertation entitled I preverbi nella “Povest’ vremennych let”: per un’analisi del processo di formazione dell’aspetto verbale in russo [Preverbs in the “Povest’ vremennych let: for an analysis of the formation process of verbal aspect in Russian] (Supervisor: Prof. Rosanna Benacchio).
From 2010 to 2012 she taught Russian language courses at the University of Padua. In the same years she also taught Russian Linguistics, History of the Russian language and Russian language at the University of Verona.
Since 2012 she has conducted research funded by a grant provided by the University of Padua within the research project Lexical and aspectual functions of verbal prefixes and suffixes in Eastern Slavic texts from the 11th-14th centuries: towards a history of the formation process of verbal aspect in Russian (coordinated by Prof. Rosanna Benacchio). She is currently investigating further aspects of the research conducted for her Ph.D. dissertation, namely the aspectual functions of the verbal prefixes and suffixes in the Povest’ vremennych let.

Her research is devoted to Russian historical linguistics and focuses on the expression of verbal aspect in Early Eastern Slavic, with the aim of recognizing the role of prefixation and suffixation as morphological, lexical and syntactic phenomena in that phase of the language. Specifically, she is interested in the expression of the aspectual values which were subsequently codified during the development of the Russian language.
Her research interests are: verbal aspect, historical linguistics and the history of the Russian language.
