  CV and Research Projects

I obtained an M.A. degree in Modern Languages for International Communication and Cooperation from the University of Padua with a dissertation on the analysis of crisis communication through social media from the point of view of clearness and readability of messages. Currently, I am a PhD student at the same institution. My interests are mainly translation, particularly neural machine translation (NMT), language simplification, and post- editing.

I am currently studying the effectiveness of language simplification in machine-translated emergency communication. In particular, the purpose of my research is to create a set of language simplification rules based on NMT error annotation and on an analysis of the post- editing process, in order to foster the use of machine translation in crisis settings.
