Immigration is a growing phenomenon in Italy and represents a daily challenge for the whole community. Actions aimed at facilitating migrants' integration and inclusion in the Italian society tend to prioritize linguistic and cultural codes of communication, while, in general, less attention has been given to non-verbal codes. Yet, non verbal codes, if not recognized and correctly interpreted, can be the cause of misunderstandings and stereotypes and hinder integration. This website was created to raise awareness on the differences in the use and interpretation of non-verbal intercultural communication, so as to improve integration and inclusion dynamics and boost respectful intercultural relationships.
